Most people now have access to cameras on their smartphones. The smartphone is responsible (usually) for getting the settings right and taking a good photograph, this means that people are losing the ability to use cameras on semi and full manual controls. These controls will improve your images from good to great, once you get to grips with them.

Another issue is that controls on modern DSLR cameras can be confusing, particularly when upgrading to newer models.

The workshops provided by NY Images UK contain everything you need to fully understand your camera for different types of photography. They start by going through the controls on your camera, explaining and demonstrating what each control does, and then lets you practice with the controls. As the workshop progresses you will then be taken through framing and composition of the chosen subject, with practical hints and tips given throughout the workshop.

NY Images UK have been delivering workshops since 2012 and have many
testimonials from happy clients.

Workshops are delivered on either a one to one basis or in small groups to
ensure everyone receives the attention they deserve.

As the workshops are practical sessions they are usually delivered at a
suitable venue, such as nature reserves, city centres, etc. 'Classroom'
sessions can be arranged if prefered.

Sessions last from 2 to 3 hours, full day workshops are arranged on request.

One to one workshops are £65.

Small groups (from 2 to4) cost £30 per person

Full day prices are available on request.

Workshops are based around one of the following types of photography; nature
and wildlife, architecture, sports, landscape and street life. Other styles of
photography are available, or general sessions can be arranged.

Debbie Priestley has years of experience in adult training, is DBS checked and is
commencing the final year of a BA(Hons) in Photography in June 2016.
